Good Morning!

Look at what I get to see every morning when I first open my eyes.....

I am the luckiest person on earth. Look at that bed head! Notice her 2 sippy cups?! Both my kids wake up V.E.R.Y. moody. Just like their daddy! They both have a very 'fussy' time for a few minutes after they wake up. The past few mornings giving her baby and TWO sippy cups have been seeming my trick to calming her down.

Sound asleep in her boyfriend's crib (Wylie) with baby near by!

A Boys Trip

*WARNING* Lots of pics in this post!!!
For Holdyn's spring break this year, we decided he couldn't just sit around the house and be bored. He likes to be very busy and go go go! Pops happened to have the same week off from work so they decided to take a 'boys trip' to the farm in Mississippi. Dad was so worried Holdyn was going to back out and refuse to go the last minute. No reason to worry about that because that boy was ready to go weeks before it was time to! He kept walking around telling me and my mom that we were NOT allowed to come because it was a BOYS trip only!

They decided to drive halfway on the ride down and spend the night in a hotel to break up the trip. Holdyn just thought that was great!
Putting the boy to work on the farm cutting down fallen trees... he never forgets his eye protection!
Next it was time to cut the grass!

They did a lot of fishing and Holdyn caught SEVERAL bass! He was so excited! When he called me every night to tell me goodnight, he mainly would only tell me about all the bass he was catching!
If you know Holdyn, you know if you pass a firestation that he has never been to, it is mandatory that you stop for a visit or the world might come to an end!
He loves using the big water hoses! Thank you Hattiesburg Fire Dept. for letting my little man visit!
Not sure what was going on here but I love this picture!
 Train ride with Great-Granddaddy!
He had a great time riding the 4wheeler with Sissy!
I bet those geese were trying to get far away from him!
He even got to ride a horse for the first time! I can't believe he got up there by himself!

He also went with Pops to pick out a 'gator' for his farm!
I think Holdyn decided this one would be the best for the property!
Thank you so much to Pops for taking the lil man on vacation. He had a great time. Pops was worried how he would be in the car since it was such a long ride but dad said he did GREAT! (Gotta love the portable DVD players!)

Also, thanks to Great-Granddaddy and Sissy for showing him the ropes on the farm and being drug to McDonalds and all of the other places they normally don't have to go to! He had a blast!

House Update

Here are some updated pics of the house. It changes so much day to day that it looks nothing like this anymore! They have already brought all the dirt in and filled everything in...it's pretty neat watching the process! We took Hadley over yesterday and she had the best time climbing the piles of dirt. She got so mad when it was time to leave. We drug out a kicking and screaming filthy dirty kid! I was so mad I didn't have my camera with me but we are going back today so I am sure she will get some more play time in the dirt. Holdyn is having a playdate after school with his best friend so hopefully I can get a few things organized and finish packing away the winter clothes the kids have out grown. They are like weeds I tell ya!

Welcome to the front porch!
The very front part is our office, the cut out to the right is Hadleys room (between the office and Hadley's room there will be a bathroom and the very back corner is the playroom. Holdyn got to watch them pour the cement.... talk about excitement! He is loving all of this action. He can't wait to get a view of his room. It's upstairs so he won't get to see that process until the framing which is next week. He is so proud about having his own 'space' and a closet and a bathroom in his room. He is already planning out where all of the firestations and emergency vehicles are going to go!

Here is the wide open land at the culdesac (I am standing on our lot taking this picture). I can see Holdyn living out there digging away and finding all the sticks and rocks. Hopefully he will be able to burn a lot of his energy out there! It's nice that the neighborhood maintains the underbrush and keeps it cut back but left all of the mature trees.

The begining!!

Here is our lot! Our builder closed on it and it is officially ours :)

He started this week and they should be pouring concrete tomorrow and supposdly starting to frame on Monday.

In my opinion (and dad's) this tree is RIGHT in the path of our driveway to pull in to the 3 car garage.

The builder says it will be fine... but I'm not so sure.... especially with my backing out skills. Dad says we could just wrap the tree in padding (hmm... maybe a good idea!)

They say if your marriage can make it through building a house together, you can get through anything, so here is to the next 4 months (supposdly) of pure bliss and lots of decision making!

Can't wait to see Mike pull off the final product of our first home that we have built together as a family!

Atlanta Trip

Mom and I decided to make a quick 24 hour Atlanta trip to do some shopping at Ikea and a few other places. We took Hadley and left HoHo home with the boys. She was excellent in the car!

Mohawk baby!

Trying to distract her during a diaper change!

Late night Ikea shopping! Baby sister all comfy taking in all the surroundings!

The girl had a long day and passed out when we got to the hotel

Mom is TERRIFIED of heights. I guess Robbie didn't know this when he was booking our room. We ended up on the 45th floor. You shoulda seen her walking down the hallway to our rooms. She was literally hugging the wall where the rooms were to stay far away from the balcony side. The bellman who helped us get everything to our room had a good little chuckle! The elevators were all glass and I don't think mom really liked that ride down the next morning. Those suckers were pretty fast dropping and then you REALLY got to see how high you were! Even sister grabbed tight on my arm going down. I don't think she was expecting that 'drop'!
All in all, we had a great time an got some good purchases for the new house!

On the mend

Happy is finally feeling better! She has also gotten at the age where her lil attitude and personality are showing themselves! She clearly lets you know what she wants and doesn't want. When in stores, she is pointing at what she wants and says "Baby!" As if she is telling me that the baby wants that. If you don't give it to her, watch out! In slow motion she lays her head on the nearest object (or even the floor) and just boo hoos her little heart out. It is the saddest (but kinda funny) thing ever! The past few days she has gotten in this phase of hitting me. She thinks it's funny but I have been putting a quick stop to that. When she starts hitting me and grab her hand and hold it still and tell her very sternly 'NOT NICE' and she lays her head down and boo hoos again. She is a little on the sensitive side!
Having some yummy freeze dried yogurt for snack time!
I am missing buddy like crazy! I get to talk to him everyday so that is good! He is having a good time and I know Pops and Granddaddy are having fun with just the lil man! A cute story: Happy and I spent the night with our old neighbors last night to let the kiddos play. The babies had fun but Emma sure was missing Holdyn. Emma showed me one of her family 'drawings'. I noticed that there was one extra family member than there should have been. She went down the line and told me who everyone was. Guess who is in her family drawing?! Holdyn!! Ellen said that ever since we moved, Holdyn has been included in every family art work. When I was leaving this morning we were talking about what night this week we were gonna hang out and get the kids together again. Emma told me "Ms Cindy, when I see Holdyn I am gonna hug him and squeeze him so tight and never let go!" I know Holdyn will probably do the same thing! They have really missed each other.

I have been working on our childhood high chair. It was looking pretty worn and sad. After 30 years it needed a good sand down and some new stain. When it finishes drying and the new cuhion gets here, it will be good to go! I think it is going to match the wood of our dining room table and chairs nicely!

The big road trip

Holdyn is on spring break this week. I knew we had to find him an activity to keep him busy because I knew he would drive me crazy get bored if we had nothing planned. After a little thinking, we decided a 'Boys Only' trip to the farm in Mississippi would be perfect! They left yesterday to break the trip up and spent the night in a hotel and officially arrived there around lunch time today. He was SO excited to go see granddaddy and play on the farm, to go fishing, ride horses, and see all the geese. Dad said he was great in the car on the way down watching movies and he only asked ten million a few questions on the 10 hour ride! They drove up to the property gate where they get cell phone reception this afternoon to call me to tell me that HoHo caught a bass today! He reeled it in himself and was so proud! Sissy is taking him 4-wheeler riding and horse back riding tomorrow on the farm, and tomorrow night, Pops has a friend coming over with pizza for dinner. Right up Holdyn's alley! I know he is going to have a blast this week. It is strangely quiet around here. I miss him like crazy but I am trying to enjoy the silence :) I took 2 naps today sleeping off the anesthesia from surgery this morning and nobody was around to jump on the bed to tell me it was time to get up and come play! They are going to come back home on Saturday!

Hyres read the newspaper this weekend then decided it would be a good snack for his Saturday afternoon......
