The prophet....

Holdyn had his school program this morning. This is his first year at this school, hence the first Christmas program here for us, so we really didn't know what to expect. All week I have been asking Holdyn what he would be doing (last year they just sang a song).... he refused to tell me and told me it was a 'surprise'.

Holdyn and one of his best friends in his class, Ezra.

Turns out, it was a whole 'play'. They each had a 'part'. The 2 year old class were the sheep and they came down the aisle with their 'baaaas'. The Pre-K class got to have the 'main' roles. Holdyn was a prophet. He shoulda been an angel cause boy did he do an amazing job (compared to last year!!). Last year I had to hide behind a column just so he would sing 1 song. This year, he walked down when his part was called all by himelf. He stood at the front with everyone, sang every song and did all of the motions. I was so proud! Funniest part was during the middle of the program he kept looking at his Toy Story watch (that he refused to take off) to see what time it was... Ha!!

Holdyn's teacher and the director, Ms. Debbie. We love her!

Hadley was in no mood to take a family picture so she is missing in this one!

Hadley intently watched her big brother perform! I told her to watch the sheep closely cause next year she will be in the 2 year old class and that would be her role!

It was so packed. Once the majority of the people had cleared out, Holdyn loved carrying Hadley around showing her off to everybody. He even carried her and introduced her to who her teacher will be next year!! It is the same teacher that tries to put Ezra in my car everyday (his mom and I have the same car). She said at least next year she wouldn't get confused and would give me the right child everyday :)

A sick lovie.....

makes for one very sad momma :(
baby sister doesn't feel like herself. She is clingy and fussy. When Hadley cries, there is something wrong. Poor thing has the 'Savannah Crud' as the doctor said. Lots of nasty coughing, a swollen red throat, etc. makes for fun times around here. I was at the doctor yesterday for a regular check up and had a fever. They thought I was there for a sick appointment! They are afraid I may be getting what she has. Holdyn had it last week and gave it to her. It's something that just has to 'run it's course'....

My baby is 2!

At 11:51 a.m. 2 years ago you came in to our lives and completed our family! We couldn't have asked for a happier, funnier, better 'baby' ! You are so free spirited, you love just going with the flow and you are a social butterfly and love just about everyone! You love your brother to pieces and have started to hug him or tackling him on the ground like he has done to you in the past 2 years! You call him HoHo. When we drop him off at school, you ask me EVERYDAY on the where home where Holdyn is as you point to his empty seat and you say "HoHo seat". You get so excited when we pick him up in the afternoons but you love your one on one mommy time in the mornings! We are in the middle of potty training. When you go potty, you and I clap together and smile so big and say "YAY!!" and then you get an M&M for a reward. You now clap for me and say "YAY!!" when I go potty! You are such a funny little girl! We love you so much and you will always be our baby!

Happy 2nd Birthday sweet girl!

My Loves.........

Dual Birthday Parties

When the kids are this young and their birthdays only a few days apart it is so much each just to combine them. We will continue to do that now until the kids get older and want their own birthday parties. The kids had a great party, I let them pick their cakes out, and they had several pieces each! Thanks to everyone that came to make their day special!
I know you are SHOCKED of the theme for the cake that Holdyn picked out. Maybe next year we can choose something different?! Just maybe? Please?!!

Hadley knows how to blow out candles and loves to do it at home but I guess with all the attention and everyone looking at her she just froze. Holdyn was so nice to help her blow them out! He is a pro by now... He is 5 you know (as he keeps reminding us!)

It's almost here!!!

36 weeks pregnant. The last picture before Hadley was born at exactly 38 weeks!
Holdyn's last picture as an only child!! This was on a Friday and Hadley was born on that Monday. He had no clue what was about to come rock his world!
Do you think we were prepared?! Yes we were! I like to be ready before my babies make their debuts!
Only a few more days and my sweet free spirited little girl will be 2 on Wednesday (December 7th!)
Look for her own post on that day!

Only in Richmond Hill....

Would you find a tractor during the city's Christmas parade!
Daddy was so nice to help decorate the preschool float and he pulled it through the parade with his car.
This is the best I could do with the sun, 2 uncooperative kids and a dog!
Hadley REFUSES to have her picture taken these days... She will scream " NO!! SOP!! (stop)" so I have to sneak up on her to attempt to get any pictures.
Hadley did like her reindeer mask she got to wear while walking behind the preschool parade!
Daddy and Bay riding in the parade!! Bay liked not having to walk and she loved watching all the scenery out of the window!
Hyres and police officer Tim (mom and dads next door neighbor). I called him that morning to make sure I wouldn't be breaking any laws by letting Hyres walk in the parade! Hyres loves him some officer Tim!
Both kids in the parade float after it ended!
Hyres was exhausted after walking the whole parade!! He had to have a ride back to the car. Believe it or not, he didn't bark at anybody like he barked constantly at everyone at Thanksgiving!!
