Reality

Reality is about to hit home and momma is starting to get kinda sad. A good kind of sad I guess you could say. Holdyn is starting Pre-K on September 8th. He is such a big boy. It seems just like yesterday when were in Peachtree City being induced. On the way to the hospital daddy had to stop at a store to get a part for the computer so he could work from the hospital. I was looking obviously very pregnant and Robbie told the lady we were on the way to the hospital. She about had a heart attack. She thought I was in labor and we casually were shopping! MawMaw, Pops, MooMa and DoDa drove up the next morning to wait for the big arrival. After being in labor for 24 hours and could not progress past 3cm, a C-section was decided that was the best and safest way to bring our big headed baby into the world!

This is Dr. Matthew Ralsten who delivered Holdyn. We couldn't have made it through that pregnancy without him! He helped us get through all of our pre-eclampsia issues and helped us end up with a beautiful baby boy! That last month of pregnancy, when I was feeling all out of whack with my very high blood pressure, I think we were at his office more than we were at home!

Holdyn will be going to school 5 days a week this year compared to the 3 days that he went last year. He will only go from 9-12 though so that will be good to get him adjusted to the full week schedule and not overwhelm him too much just yet with full days. I know next year will probably be much harder.. on me.. I'm not worried about him at all! Next year he will go to a big elementary school and he will go from 9-3. Momma and sister will be lost without our buddy! His Pre-K teacher has already told him that he is NOT allowed to wear his fire suit to school this year. We have been talking about it all summer and reminding him so it's not a big shock on the first day of school. So far he seems to be ok with it. He has worn it all summer and can wear it when he gets home from school so hopefully he will be satisified with that. I bet his teacher can guess what he is planning to be for Halloween :)

Where has my baby boy gone?! He is so big and grown up now! I know he needs this and he will have so much fun and do great. I know sister probably needs this time also to have a few quiet hours a day for some one on one time with just mommy. I also just signed up to start attending MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers). They meet twice a month right around the corner from our house so I am excited for sister and I to go and meet some other moms and babys :)

  1. Awww!!! This brought tears to MY eyes! He is getting so big........ And your baby is quickly approaching the toddler age too! Noooo!!! Aw, I'm sure you and sister can find lots to fill your time and it sounds like MOPS will do just that! :-)
