Summer Break

School is officially out for the summer! Holdyn will miss being in Teacher Mary and Teacher Lisas class so much but at least we will still get to see them next school year!

Teacher Mary and Teacher Lisa with Fireman HoHo

Such a cute cake with the class picture on it!

Pops came too!

Teacher Lisa was SO glad it was the last day of school! I bet she is glad to have a break from 'fireman talk'!

Flashback

I put Hadley in her walker and went out to the mailbox this afternoon. I came back in and she had walked over to the dishwasher and was holding on to the rack!! It made me think of Holdyn doing the exact same thing around the exact same age! Holdyn was a month older than Hadley in this picture.

Wheres Waldo

Can you find Holdyn?! This is his class for the 2009-2010 school year. He wears his fireman outfit EVERYDAY to school.. what you can't see is he has TWO more fire jackets underneath his outer one. He is burning up running around on the playground but his teacher says he refuses to take it off. We are thrilled with this new pre-school we have found for Holdyn and he has been attending since January. We love his teacher and assistant now, and all of the staff and the director. The teacher gave him her childrens fire truck book from when they were children. She said it was purchased back in 1941 and she wanted Holdyn to have it. How sweet is that?! He will start Pre-K there in September and i LOVE his teacher and the assistant that he will have for the year. Hadley will also go to this preschool in September of 2011 when she will almost be turning 2.

What a week

I don't even know where to begin. Some weeks we have calm, good, predictable weeks. Other weeks, if one thing happens or goes wrong, it seems everything likes to come crashing down all in the same week! Well this week was one of *those* weeks! It all began on Tuesday. I woke up to find my entire stomach covered in what looked like chicken pox. I knew it wasn't because it wasn't on my whole body, but still it was very odd! Concerned it might have something to do with the caterpillar incident 2 days before, I decided I should go get checked out. Packed up both kids and we headed out the door. After the doctor determined it was an allergic reaction to *something* that bit me, I got a nice tetnus shot, an antibiotic and left the office with the doctors parting words "You really need to look in to getting a double stroller". Maybe he wants to push 50lbs through small door ways, rude people who won't hold open doors for you while struggling to push the stroller in, much less trying to fit a stroller in to a small cramped room in a doctors office! I do really need to get one soon though for our park and mall outings. After we got home Holdyn decided Bay needed ice in her water bowl because "firedogs like ice cold water". He brings her bowl to the fridge (after spilling about half of the water out on the floor along the way), sets the bowl on the floor, then pushes the water and ice button which sends ice and water flying all over the floor. The fridge access has been banned! After that, the genius that owns land near us set several things on fire then left. We ended up having to call the fire department to get it under control. Well don't you know that just thrilled my little fireman!! I took him outside for an up close look but he was so amazed he was just speechless and all he could do was stare! We headed back up the side walk and low and behold a huge snake made himself comfortable on our front door mat!! No way was I going near that thing! I waited until the firemen had the fire under control then I nicely asked them to remove the snack since they were there and I was not about to touch that thing! Wednesday morning as we were walking out the door to take Holdyn to school, the washing machine started spewing water everywhere. Not just a nice small little trickle. Oh no, it was more like projecting it across the room. I told Holdyn to run grab me a towel while I was shoving dirty clothes under it trying to get it to stop. He comes back with 2 squares of toilet paper.... hey he tried! During nap time Holdyn snuck in to the pantry and got the brand new box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts out and feed TEN doughnuts to Baily. After consulting with the vet, they said she would be just fine. While changing baby sisters diaper, he got scissors, cut open the brand new bag of dog food and was trying his hardest to pour it in to her food container. On Thursday I woke up to Holdyn having poured an entire brand new bottle of shampoo in his sink and turning the water on. As bubbles are overflowing down his cabinet and on to the floor he said " But my toys were so dirty I had to wash them mommy". *SIGH* I told Robbie I was so close to dropping him off at Calvary for the day and letting Ms. Ashley deal with him cause momma needed a break! After cleaning all that up I decided to get dressed and head out to run our errands. Big Mistake. Holdyn got a pot, filled it with water, dumped a whole bag of pasta into the pot and pulled his stool over to put it on the stove. Thank goodness he couldn't reach to turn the stove on. I then found a stack of pasta under baby sisters bouncer. He claims he was just sharing with her. I then found pasta in a pot with a whole slew of firemen and rocks (that are also firemen-says Holdyn). He said he was cooking them for his dinner. I also found pasta in a gatorade bottle. *Note to Self* Get dressed faster next time! After catching him this afternoon trying to feed Bay teddy grahams, and tonight I caught him feeding her chips (when they both are supposed to be sleeping!), mommy has bought a lock for the pantry that daddy bear will be installing this weekend! Tonight after putting the kids to bed, I caught the washer projecting water again. Maybe that's a sign I should never do laundry again! Thank goodness daddy comes home tomorrow. Momma can't take much more!

My toys are all clean now mommy!

He now finally gets the point

He was so proud

I was just sharing with sister, mom!

Rent-a-3 year old

I bet he is much cuter than any rent-a- husband you could find, only asks for teddy grahams for payment, and he shows up in just his size 3T fruit of the loom undies!

Visit from the Swann's!

Meghan and Charles were passing through town and got to stop and say hello!! YAY!

Baby sister would not look at the camera for the life of her and Holdyn had just woken up from a nap so we all know that means he was pretty grumpy!! He is just like daddy and takes awhile to wake up from a nap!

So good to see them and so happy that everything is going well with baby Swann's pregancy! Hoepfully everything will work out and they will get some good news they are waiting for in the next month! :)

Boys will be boys

It was such a pretty day today and Holdyn enjoyed playing outside for a majority of the day. He found a spot underneath his slide where no grass grows so it is just dirt. He shoveled dirt into his tractor (Sorry daddy) and drove it over to his water table. At the end of the day when I was cleaning up the yard I found out what he truly had been doing all day! He was taking the dirt and filling his water table with it, then putting water in it. I asked him why he did that cause it made a big mess. He said "Mommy, if you mix dirt and water, it makes MUD!" Wow. How does he know this stuff?! Smart kid for not even being 3 and a half yet!

He was so proud!

Sweet baby sister today. I think Auntie will approve of her shirt!

Tuckered out after a long day of playing!

We get to meet up with Meghan and Charles tomorrow as they are passing through on their way back to Atlanta so they will get to see how big Holdyn has gotten and they will get to meet baby sister! I am excited to get to 'see' baby Swann too!!

First Mini Ride!

Geez!! Mom and Dad don't even get to ride in the mini! Holdyn got the first ride in it! Lucky boy!

5 months old

*Sniff* Where does the time go?! Baby sister is already 5 months old! We don't go back to the doctor until next month so I will post her stats then. She is rolling from back to tummy all day now and is a squirmy little thing!

Happy Mother's Day!

On Friday, Holdyn's pre-school held a mother's day tea so MooMa and MawMaw came with me and baby sister! Holdyn made a placemat and painted a pot, and planted a flower in the pot all by himself! We had a good time having lemonade and cookies. HoHo was pretty tired since he got up at 6:15 that morning, but he enjoyed the morning! Holdyn and Hadley have 2 of the best grandmas anyone could ask for!

On Sunday night, everyone came over for a low country boil. We all had a good time! Baby sister had fun jumping!
