Lions, Tigers and Soccer Cleats... Oh My!

After searching several stores to find the right sized shin guards, cleats, and practice socks, I finally found everything we needed. Phew! It's like a cat chasing a mouse! If I knew he needed all of this, I could have been looking all summer. Instead we crammed it all in to find everything in less than a week. Not very smart!  Holdyn was so excited to go to practice tonight and wear all of his new gear. His first game is Thursday. I hope this little team of 6 dream a lot about soccer the next 2 nights in hopes of pulling together on Thursday.

He kept looking at his shin guards and cleats and said over and over 'Mom, do I really get to keep these?!' He was so excited to know he wasn't just borrowing him... he really does get to keep them! He said 'So I can wear my gear to play when my friends come over?!' What ever makes you happy sweet pea!

Where did my little boy go?! This kid is growing by leaps and bounds. I am missing the baby stage, but the older stage has started off fun! I just might enjoy this new phase in our lives.
Ms. THANG was in rare form this evening at practice. She was in a mood. I don't know what her problem was! She was pushing her cup over, pushing Holdyn's drinks over, throwing her bow at me, took off her shoes and threw them on the soccer field, pushed my purse until it fell, etc. I don't know what got in to her. She shrieked in excitement when we pulled up to the field because she remembered going last week and how much fun she had running around and playing. A little boy her age came up to her and tried to hug her tonight and she took both of her hands and pushed him as hard as she could and screamed 'NOOOO!!!'

Those big ole mean molars are still coming in and causing her some pain cause she is shoving her little fingers in the back of her mouth. I can't wait till these things finish coming in!

Trying to keep her off the field is a task. She wants to throw everything out there and wants ANY reason to go walk right up to Holdyn. We might be attending round 2 of PeeWee Soccer when she gets old enough. Question is will she get out of a dress to get out there and play!! Usally every morning when we are getting dressed she will tell me 'DRESSS!!!' I ask is that what she wants to wear today. It is always a 'YES!' With them both in sports and having practice and games on different nights, I see us being busy bees the next several years. I guess Mr. R has always called me 'soccer mom' for a reason! ;)
