In Savannah, you were not allowed to play 't-ball' until you turned 5. In Richmond Hill, you can play 't-ball' at age 4. Since last season we lived in Savannah, Holdyn couldn't play. Since we live in Richmond Hill this year, he is too old for the t-ball team so his first year ever playing will be pitched from the coach (pops!) or from a machine. The first practice they had, they used the 'T'.... He had his 2nd practice today and they used the machine. No one hit the ball very far, it was mainly learning to make contact, and HoHo made contact! The upside of having Pops as your coach, and since he missed the whole learning of 't-ball', Pops has been able to spend some extra time with him and 2 of the other boys in our neighborhood who happen to be on Pops team, and go to our neighborhood baseball field for some extra practice.
Holdyn's best friend, Santiago! We live right around the corner from each other, the boys go to school together, and they are on the same baseball team. They love going back and forth between each others house to play during the week after school. Mr. R and I love his parents and have gone out with them several times. His momma stays at home and his daddy is a doctor. We met only because I found their lost little dog one day and I took him home having no clue that the kids would reckognize each other! Amazing how people come together!
Holdyn had a birthday party today then went straight to baseball practice. He was grounded for the afternoon so it made for ONE tiring day and my 'never nap HoHo' passed out for a nice long nap this afternoon!
